Well Happy New Year, Valentine’s Day, Spring and Birthday to me.
It’s been awhile again, but I’m back with a handful of updates.
First and foremost–I made it through the semester.
This was probably the roughest one yet. And I wasn’t even planning a wedding!
I think it was a combination of recovering from the wedding (we just FINALLY finished the thank you notes!!), some major anxiety I was having about life in general, an officer quitting at NE STEM 4U, my sweet grandma Rose passing away, and the most intense practicum yet.
I am not exaggerating when I say that I did not think I would make it through this semester and was considering what other options I had.
I wrote more of a post on my mental health over at the pink toast blog, so check that out if you want to hear more about my journey.
Here I’m going to share some highlights of the past few months.
January 2018
-Kicked off the year right with the goal to be more social…
-Making an effort to cook more at home
-Decorating with our wedding presents
February 2018
-Started the craziest practicum yet.
-Sweet grandma Rose passed away.
We will miss her dearly. <3
-Participated in a counter protest of the Westborough Baptist Church.
March 2018
-Found out I passed the practicum!
-Back to work writing papers about practicum.
-It was also time to start the giant 10 lesson unit plan project for science.

-Worked at various schools for NE STEM 4U over Spring Break.
-Sorted through 1000+ wedding pictures.
April 2018

-Celebrated 31 years of living. (Dave threw me a party!!)
-Continued focusing on my mental health and practicing gratitude.
-Finished up projects and presentations. I was SO nervous about the last day of presentations but they went pretty well.

-Celebrated cousin Abby’s graduation.
-Babysat Dave’s cousin’s daughter. It was a lot of adorable.

Hopefully I won’t get so far behind on the “monthly posts” again, but we will see!
